Situated in the heart of campus, the new Student Innovation Center is the newest addition to the Cristo Rey campus.
The 40,435 square foot facility is home to school’s new work study program and training center which includes a number of state-of-the-art spaces for students to gain hands-on experience in their chosen area. Uniquely designed around a multi-level dining hall, the building also features a commercial kitchen, music and drama rooms, art studios, competition gym, weight room and athletic locker rooms. The gym also duals as a storm shelter for the entire campus. Some faculty offices are housed in this building along with other administrative support spaces.
SCHMIDT & STACY® performed mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for the building, including the storm shelter design.
The new student facility design earned a LEED Certified Rating.
