Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Partner

At SCHMIDT & STACY® we place great value on giving back to the community. One tangible way we take part in this is by hosting two Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep students as part of their school’s Corporate Work Study Partner Program. Cristo Rey Dallas College Preparatory School offers a private Catholic high school education to students who have limited financial resources. While students are keeping up with their studies, they are also gaining real-world work experience through internships in our Dallas office. We are honored to be a part of such a wonderful organization and work alongside these eager students.

Cristo Rey Dallas has more than 100 job partners. helping students earn 63% of tuition costs. 95% of Cristo Rey students will be the first in their family to attend college.  For more information about Cristo Rey, visit www.cristoreydallas.org.

Dallas Mayor’s Fellows Program Participation

For the last five years, we have participated in the Dallas Mayor’s Fellows program which provides junior and senior high school students internship opportunities with over 200 companies and 350 internship spots in Dallas. This program provides students to with an opportunity to pursue careers in areas that interest them. We have found great benefit in this program both for our interns and for our own employees. In the eight weeks that we spend with the students, we learn as much from them as they hopefully do from us.
